I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Life Time (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2015
Interview
I called after I submitted my application and followed up. I scheduled an interview with the Aquatics Manager. The interview was very straight forward and the questions were based around teaching and children. I was phone interviewed by the Department head shortly after and she gave the go ahead to hire me. Overall, the process was easy.
Very easy, straight forward questions about past swimming and teaching experience. Had one phone interview and then one in person interview. Once hired you take a multiple day training and a test at the end of it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about your past swim instructor experience
Not bad, basic questions, reciting Life Time mission statement, a few situational responses that you have to improvise. Interviewer was professional and felt interested in everything I had to say.
The interview process is a series of three interviews: the supervisor, the manager, and the overall head of the department. It is not nerve-wracking just more tiresome. Having a good swimming background and experience will make the interview process even more easier.
