I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lightfoots Solicitors (Oxford, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was well-structured and professional. After an initial phone screening, I was invited for an in-person interview with two senior staff members. The questions were a mix of competency, scenario-based, and firm-specific topics. The atmosphere was friendly yet formal, and they clearly valued preparation and genuine interest in the firm’s work.

Question 1
One memorable question was, “Can you tell us about a time you had to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment?” They wanted to see how you prioritise, stay calm under pressure, and maintain accuracy — key qualities for a paralegal role in their litigation department.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Lightfoots Solicitors (Thame, England)
Interview
First, there is the application process, which includes a standard CV and Cover Letter. Then, there is a phone interview with someone from recruitment (honestly, a highlight of the experience; they're lovely) and an in-person interview. I found the in-person interview quite one-sided. There was no tour of the office, and it felt that they didn't try hard to get to know the interviewee. It was brief, but the real issue is that they never followed up to tell you that you were unsuccessful. When you've taken time off work for an interview and make the effort to attend, it's common courtesy to at least email to say you didn't get the job.
