I applied online. I interviewed at Little Rocket (Toronto, ON)
Interview
The interview went well over all. I think it was more of a meet and greet than an interview, but was told near the end that they would be reaching out in the near future to introduce me to the Lead Developer at if all went well, they'd provide me with a technical test. I followed up a few days later as I had not heard back, to which again they said they'd reach out soon. Mentioned a merger in the meet and greet/interview so I figured maybe they're just pretty swamped (they did say they were in the response). Anyways, it's been months and they didn't so much as reach out to let me know the role has been filled, which I assume it has been. Just kind of disappointing. Applicants understand if you're busy, and they understand if you've found someone more well suited to the role, but no one likes to be ghosted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you tell me about yourself and your experience as a Wordpress and Shopify Developer? Do you have experience writing code in Vanilla JS? Are you familiar with Shopify Partners?
That was unresponsive company!! I have done interview but they didn't let me know after that! Even I have sent and email but they didn't say YOU ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. It was disrespectful behavior I've ever seen.
You have been spamming our accounts because you are annoyed you didn't get a call back, and this is an example of the type of fit we're trying to avoid. Long story short you did not have the skill set we were looking for and while I am sure you would like an immediate response, we have a process for reviewing all candidates prior to making decisions which are then shared with the applicant in a formal process.
As there's a queue of candidates for each job posting it can take a few days or up to a week to follow up on all applicants, and given the challenges we all face today with scheduling it would be advisable for you to temper your expectations on follow up applications.
Good luck and take care.
