I interviewed at Liverpool City Council (Liverpool, England)
Interview
Interview process was straight forward and the two managers interviewing made me feel at ease during the interview which allowed me to show my personality. Don't need to mouth of reams of legislation but showing how you apply it to practice is sufficient

Interview
The interview itself went well overall. I appreciated that the panel provided the questions around 10 minutes before the start, which is a practice I believe more interviews should adopt. It gives candidates a fair chance to gather their thoughts and present themselves more clearly, without being caught off guard.
I felt I gave strong, well-considered responses and was confident in my delivery. However, during the interview, I couldn’t help but notice that the panel seemed visibly disinterested at times. While I understand this could be due to a range of factors, it did give the impression that the outcome may have already been predetermined perhaps in favour of existing locum staff. If that’s the case, I can appreciate how sitting through interviews might feel like a formality for them, but it was still disheartening as a candidate who genuinely prepared and put in the effort.
