I applied online. I interviewed at Loft Orbital Solutions
Interview
I applied online and almost instantaneously got an email from a recruiter. Had a next day call with a recruiter and then a 45 minute technical interview about a week later. I thought I did well enough on the interview but I suppose not because I was ghosted. Have not received any further contact from anyone at Loft and it’s been over a month. Pretty disappointing because I was very excited about this role but that seems to be the norm with Loft’s hiring experience, which is a shame.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Loft Orbital Solutions
Interview
Overall a normal interview experience, however they were very disrespectful of my time. I made it to the final round, which required me to take PTO from my current job. They then waited almost a month to send a very obviously copy and pasted automated rejection response, which only came after I requested an update. The whole interview process was extremely slow, almost three months. One nice thing they did was give detailed feedback as to why I was rejected, which I did appreciate. However, the experience was very soured by their hiring team not filtering well enough to reject me before asking me to spend hours on a take home interview and hours on a final panel interview round. Everyone I interviewed with was very professional and friendly- the interviews themselves were positive.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Loft Orbital Solutions (Golden, CO) in Aug 2025
Interview
I interviewed with Loft for two roles: IT Platform Engineer and Senior Software Developer. Initially, I applied for the IT Platform Engineer position, but was encouraged to also pursue the Senior Software Developer role based on my background.
The process for both roles was long and frustrating. For the IT Platform Engineer role, I spoke with the hiring manager, who then went on a five-week work trip and became completely unresponsive. The recruiter was unable to get any updates during that time, and I eventually received a rejection email six weeks later with no explanation or feedback.
Meanwhile, I went through a multi-stage interview process for the Senior Software Developer role. This included a 45-minute call with the hiring manager, a take-home assessment that took me around 15 hours to complete, three in-person technical interviews at the Golden, CO office, and a one-hour behavioral interview. Unfortunately, the in-person rounds felt poorly structured—mostly trivia-style questions with minimal engagement around my experience or the take-home project. One interviewer didn’t introduce himself and jumped straight into questions. During the behavioral interview, I wasn’t given time to ask questions and was rushed out at the end.
Two days later, I received a generic rejection email. Although feedback was offered, it was never provided despite my request. Overall, the interview panel seemed underprepared and the process lacked clarity and professionalism.
