      Software Engineer Interview

      2 May 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Mountain View, CA
      No offer
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Loop Commerce (Mountain View, CA) in Apr 2014

      Interview

I was actually contacted first by their recruiter, who is super friendly and excited and nice! I really enjoyed talking with her and she sounded genuinely excited about the company (and me!). She was pretty much my contact and she set up a phone technical interview with one of the founders. The interview with the founder was pretty difficult - he asked specific questions and seemed to want to get into the details. I was interviewing more for a front-end job, so I thought it was a bit odd that he was asking questions about backend and infrastructure. At any rate, I answered his questions, but probably not to the extent that he was hoping for, and at the end he told me that they were looking for more senior engineers on the team (I'm pretty junior, just picked up web dev in a bootcamp).
