I had a phone interview with a senior attorney. It lasted about an hour but was heavily weighted on learning about the departments, the company and the position. About 3 weeks later I was asked to fly to Monroe for an in-person interview. I thought the interview went well. I met with 2 attorneys and had lunch with the original interviewer. Also met a member of the HR department - Taylor - who was very nice and accommodating. However, after the interview I never heard another word from the company. Of course I followed up with thank you emails but I never got a response of any sort. It seemed both strange and very rude to ask someone to give up 2 days of their personal/work life, then spend $1,000 in company money on travel expenses and yet not even send a 2 minute email to say thanks but no thanks. Additionally in all these conversations we never talked about salary requirements (although I did ask during my initial phone interview and was told "we don't have a number at this time" so it makes me think they were never serious about my candidacy.) Strange all the way around.
