The interview process with CenturyLink was very quick and a great experience. I applied online and received a phone call the next day from a hiring manager to schedule a phone interview. This interview consisted of general questions involving past experiences and how you handled them, as well as how effective you are with time management. In the last stage of this phone interview, there is a simulation interview. Because this was for a call center position, I had to act as an employee finishing up helping a customer and attempting to get them to sign on with a new service. So, this tests your customer service and sales skills. I was told I would be contacted in a week, but I received a phone call from the hiring manager just a few hours later saying that I did so well, that they wanted to offer me the position right now. I accepted because I enjoyed my experience and the people were extremely polite and down to earth. I now have a drug screening set up and will start the training process in Feb. I was told there will be 8 weeks of training to go through, in which I would be paid as a full time employee. After this, I was told I would go into the actual position at the same salary to start, except now with commissions from sales and a sales quota to meet every month. I am excited about this position, and the interview process was very simple and pleasant.
