The initial interview was a one on one with the hiring manager who had more than ten years with Lutron. This interview was intended to get to know more about my experience and go over the expectations for the role. The second round of interviews included a one hour technical interview where two engineers and myself worked through some electrical and mechanical engineering problems specific to Lutron products. This included doing digital white board drawings and calculations. The second round also included a peer interview with a similar level engineer and finally an interview with a member of the management team. For the most part I felt that the interview process was very well planned and was more technically rigorous than other interviews I have done. The manager seemed unprepared which was not typical of my other interviews.
