There was none. I got an email saying I was selected for screening with the recruiter and then a couple of days later I got an email saying the position had been put on hold and I was encouraged to apply to other jobs. However, when I did, I got flat out rejected.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lytho (Raleigh, NC) in Jul 2023
Interview
Interview process was clearly defined in first screening call with the recruitment team. 4 steps including the first phone call - direct manager, team lead, executive officer. Consisted of both skill/experience questions and culture-fit/personality questions. Everyone was incredibly kind, personable, and very straightforward when responding to questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lytho (Amsterdam) in Jul 2023
Interview
Got a mail from company for HR screening process. Had a call on the selected date, HR was polite, asked about my experience and shared details about what the company does. Told me that we will have call for next round in few days depending upon the availability of the hiring manager who sits in their US office. After two days got a mail that they will not move forward with my application as they find other candidates more suitable. I reached the recruiter on LinkedIn as to ask what is the reason for rejection, but no reply. I don't understand when the companies are not sure whether to proceed with the application or not, then why do they give false hopes while talking to candidates and then suddenly ghost them. Someone can be really in need of job, but these people even don't care to reply as to what went wrong so that the candidate can at least have scope of improvement for future interviews.
