I applied online. I interviewed at M-Files in Apr 2026
Interview
Initially, I felt really good about the company, until they decided to kick off the stalling game after the third round. I am experienced and reflective enough to admit that my last interview with the VP Global Growth Mktg didn't convince them, which is a valid reason to proceed with other candidates instead. It's, however, the typical pattern, which is sickening, when recruitment refuses a minimum level of decency and chooses radio silence over clear and transparent feedback. Ultimately, M-Files is as pretentious as any other potential employer in the SaaS space. Especially when apparent values, such as care, transparency, and respect, are preached but not practised or at least not towards applicants. Not sure if this owed to the Anglo-American way of conducting business, which is this Finnish company's direction, or if it's just something candidates are expected to live with. In either case, not having the guts to share openly with a candidate that he/she is not their first choice, while keeping the same at bay until the company has sealed the deal with their "golden boy/girl", is simply low-down, yet common practise these days, making M-Files as treacherous as any other employer these days.
