I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at M3 in Oct 2017
Interview
M3 seemed like it would be a good fit for me. I knew some people who worked there and I applied because it seemed like a good environment. I scheduled a phone interview within a few days of submitting my application. After the phone interview I scheduled an in person interview. The interview was through a scheduling service. I showed up about 15 minutes early and waited in the lobby until about 20 minutes after my scheduled time before anyone came to get me. As it turned out, the person I was scheduled to interview with had planned to be out that day and did not let me know. I essentially had a 15 minute chat with a Derek and was told we would schedule another interview the next week. I came in for that interview and thankfully I was treated like they actually wanted to interview me. After that group interview (two interviewers) I was told I would be a great fit and they would let me know on the decision soon. I let them know I had another two offers waiting on me to respond to and they said to reach out if I had not heard back. I emailed them the next week and the position had been filled but "they would keep my resume" because they had other positions available. Thank goodness I didn't solely rely on getting hired by M3.
I actually remember this instance and we are sorry for the initial confusion over the first interview. All I can say is that we have gotten a lot better - we have done more training with our managers and I think newer people have found a more cohesive experience.
Good practice problems, went through a supervisor, manager, and executive. Asked general accounting practices and GAAP Compliance questions. Will also ask you about the hotel industry and your knowledge on it.
Thank you for sharing your positive perspective on your recent interview with M3. We're glad to hear that, despite its challenges, you found value in the experience. We value your feedback and please consider future openings with us.
