It is the most ridiculous interview I have ever met.
The interviewer gave me almost no opportunities to speak while he was like the real interviewee who introduced his great achievements, his contributions, his abundant merits, his team's accomplishment, what product/project he had down and was doing, etc. Specifically, he told me where he graduated and where he had been working. Also, he asked me, "do you know xxx(like a person's name in design industry)? " I said I do not know. And he said "never mind, xxx balabala". He tried to tell me how he got to know that famous guy. And a second late, he asked, "then, do you know xxx(another one)?" I said I do not know. Then he explained again his excellent social network. In addition, he told me now he was doing an excellent project and he had to draw all the dozens of interfaces all by himself. During this process, I thought he was funny but I controlled myself to feel like admiring him and his team so much. Plus, he emphasized several time that he knew some one who was the pioneer in mobile APP industry. Last by not the least, he said he was going to give me design challenge task. Then, he said "companies tend to give candidate design challenges. For instance, I had an interview in Google and then they ask me balabalabala". But finally he gave me task nothing to do with his story of Google.
All interviews on UI/UX Design I have ever attended are like asking me to introduce myself and introduce my previous work. This is the first time that I had no opportunity to speak and forced to listen to a guy expressing how "awesome" he is. Who care??!! He wasted all my time, 1.5 hours! In my opinion, persons, who are really experienced and good at a specific field, does not care about propagating his or her story to others. They have solid skills and confidence to attract others and they do not need to show their connection with celebrities to show their abilities.
