Attended an ‘interview day’ (online due to COVID) which included a 1-1 interview, a group task with the other applicants for the same role, and a series of recorded video questions. This was also an opportunity to meet some of the team members and early careers representatives.
The 1-1 interviewer was required to keep firmly to a list of set questions, which meant that they couldn't ask for elaboration on interesting points. This was in the interest of fairness for all candidates, although it did make the interview feel less conversational that I would have liked.
