The interview was pretty standard, just a conversation about past experience and why I wanted the job. It didn't go that well and I had a feeling during the interview that they weren't interested in moving forward. I got a rejection shortly after.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at MDPI AG
Interview
AVOID THIS EMPLOYER.
I was INVITED by the company to apply for this job. A cover letter was required, which I put in tremendous effort into writing at length.
I was then asked to complete two editing tests. One was 2 pages long and another one was a full scientific report (super long).
After weeks of waiting to know whether I would proceed to the interview, they told me that they would “proceed with other candidates whose expertise aligns more closely with the requirements for the role”.
They emailed me at 8:33am and the notification woke me up. Like why are they at work at this time? And it’s so inconsiderate to disturb people during sleeping hours.
They do not care that I wasted so much time carefully editing every single error in the text.

Editing test papers. Fairly formal. Exchange of emails. Took about four hours to do the sample test edit. The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. I am now just writing words to get over the word limit.
