I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (Troy, NY) in Oct 2014
Interview
I talked with MIT Lincoln Labs at my schools career fair and I found that they were very engaging. I followed the career fair with applying and from there they reached out to do an interview with them. They held an information seminar the night before the interview so I took it upon myself to go and from the beginning they knew my name and the position I was applying for. They were very professional and prepared. The next day I had my interview that had an atmosphere of serious but not uncomfortable. I was asked almost solely on my experience and how they are relevant. The interviewer was friendly and did not show either satisfaction or dissatisfaction, and was hard to tell if the interview was going positive or negative. He informed me that their decision would take a few weeks and surely enough they got back to me in that time period. Unfortunately I was told that a position was not available that fit my career goals. Regardless of the result I would say that the overall interview process was good.

I applied through university. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory
Interview
Easy pre screening - mostly behavioral questions and about experience. Tried to be paired with a specific group within the organization. Very kind interviewer who was happy to answer questions.
They had already decided they wanted me before the interview, so it didnt feel like a traditional interview process. I arrived, and they introduced me to some people, asked some questions.
