I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (Lexington, MA) in Nov 2014
Interview
There was a 20 minute phone screen followed a week later by a two hour technical interview on-site. Most questions were about my own projects, no real questions about broad programming topics. No questions of a behavioral nature in either the screen or face-to-face. I have heard this can vary greatly across groups however.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (Boston, MA) in Apr 2015
Interview
I applied online and received a follow up email to set up an on-site interview. I was flown out from Ohio and given a rental car and a hotel room. I had interviews with two groups at Lincoln Labs. The first group was a not very ready for my interviews, but I had brief meetings with about 5 different senior members of the group. Later in the day I went to the radar group and have 4 interviews back to back. I was asked tough technical questions in about 3 of the 8 interviews.
