      Buyer Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MM Solutions (Loveland, CO) in Feb 2024

      Interview

The HR lady was very kind, but not great at communication. They had some of the hiring committee sick and on vacation, and I didn't hear anything after my initial phone screen for almost 3 weeks. Once I heard from them again, they asked me to come in for an in person. One of the hiring committee reached out to my current manager asking about me, which could have been really bad if I hadn't already told her I was looking. The in person I thought went great, but I never heard anything even after a follow-up. I assume I didn't get the job, although who knows. Maybe they'll call me in a few weeks...

      Question 1

How would you handle an engineer or non-purchasing person contacting a vendor directly and being rude, possibly damaging the relationship?
