Interview was over the phone with the HR guy. Lasted less than an hour. He asked standard STAR and HR questions. At the end of the interview, he asked some space trivia questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Made In Space
Interview
Received an email to set up a pre-interview phone call. Basic aerospace degree related questions, pretty easy. In addition, they asked trivia on space-related events.
Passed, received another email to set up the real technical interview. This one I got pretty beat up on. I answered maybe half the questions, and that was shaky. Probably because I'm pretty fresh and they were looking for 3+ years experience; some of the questions were more mechanically focused.
It was a group of 5 engineers over a span of an hour. They were very nice and kind.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you determine the peak torque of a linear actuator when given it's motion curve.
The interview was mostly trivia and history questions. A few technical questions from a self-reported non-technical interviewer who couldn't understand the explaination of the poor wording of the question. They were not difficult if you have google sitting in front of you.
