I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Magic Ears
Interview
Step 1: I filled out an application
Step 2:Did a recorded Demo and received a get hired within "24 Hours" E-mail
Step 4: Did a Mentor Meeting (teaching another demo)
Step 5: Have a Trial scheduled in a few days
This Interview Process Review is about step 4!
Step 4: The mentor/trainer was wearing a wife-beater in a dark room. I could hear his mom/wife? yelling at him. He was disheveled and was playing on his phone while I was doing my best. He said he was pretending to be 5 years old but couldn't seem like a more disinterested adult. I have taught over 5,000 classes online (not with this company) but nevertheless the majority very young Chinese children and they have not acted like that.
That situation was very unprofessional and is making me wonder whether to continue the process, to the next step which is the trial. It really leaves you with a negative feeling when you put your best foot forward and you are being judged by someone who clearly isn't even trying to be professional.
Very easy, they make it so you will pass. Put in the work and you will! Practice with the material before hand, and be energetic, also be ready to use the ESL methods you may have learned
The interview is easy to pass. You can record a demo or schedule a live interview. Passion is very important.
The trial demo needs some preparation. Overall it is nice.

Do you have passion to teach?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Magic Ears (Cape Town) in Jan 2021
Interview
You have to create a demo lesson for two phonemes, then a introduction video about yourself, have a group interview and then record a demo lesson using their platform. It is a long process but fairly basic to the industry.
