The process was VERY LONG—7 rounds over 6 weeks just to get to the project stage, followed by a panel presentation and interviews with a VP and EVP.
Early on, the recruiting team was responsive and organized. However, after what was supposed to be the final EVP interview, communication completely dropped. I heard nothing for two weeks and only got an update after following up, when I was told they chose another candidate.
I was also told to prepare references and that multiple candidates would be presented to the CEO for a final decision, but no references were ever contacted.
For a $130K IC role, the number of rounds felt excessive. 7 interviews along is roughly 5-7 hours between prep, follow up and the actual interview, not to mention the at least 10 hours for the project +!
