Manor ISD interview questions

You must first submit your application to Human Resources. Teaching applications are quite lengthy, and you will need to write about your views on teaching. I applied for a teaching position at an elementary school, but was contacted by principals from other schools. I decided to interview for a middle school position teaching science. The first interview was on Zoom, with the principal and two assistant principals. They asked a lot of questions about my experience. Many questions were about my feelings about different situations with students and/or parents. I was asked to prepare a lesson in a topic. I was given three choices. I was given a time and date for the formal interview. The Principal, two assistant principals, and a teacher were on the Zoom Interview. After introductions were made, I did my lesson. They asked a few follow up questions. The questions were about given scenarios and how would I handle them. Many of their students are coming from difficult backgrounds. I heard back from the principal the next day, and was offered the job.

Usually the specific school you applied for will call or email you to schedule an in person interview. They reached out pretty quickly after submitting the application (1-2 weeks). The in person interview usually includes an administrator and other teachers in the subject area that you want to teach asking you questions. They will notify you of your interview/potential hire about a 1-2 weeks after you meet with them. Pretty straight forward.
