The first round of discussions was with Co-Founder and Cloud Architect and its particularly engaging, shedding valuable light on the role and providing insights into Mantalus as an organization. However, I found the second round to be somewhat unexpected for a role of this seniority. The focus of the interview questions was primarily on fundamental .NET topics. While I understand the importance of solid foundational knowledge, the emphasis on these basic concepts seemed disproportionate for a senior-level position that typically requires deeper technical expertise and the ability to handle complex problems. In order to more accurately assess the suitability of candidates for senior roles, I would suggest incorporating more complex, real-world scenarios and high-level problem-solving tasks into your interviews. These could better reflect the role's expectations and provide a more comprehensive understanding of a candidate's technical depth, design thinking, and decision-making skills. I would also suggest Mantalus Mgmt to train your tech resources to properly conduct the interviews.
