HR was half hour late, then tried to get out of it - then entertained that I withdraw my application - and then she lost it and me here at this point, this left a bad taste in my mouth with this company, I hope the residents are doing better than the employees they treat here
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Marianhill in Jan 2024
Interview
Virtual only interview, with Human Resources representative, then the next step is an onboarding process, They start off with whether you can do all the shifts. I went into the meeting feeling optimistic, and enthused thinking Marianhill was a great place to work.
There were quite a few red flags, such as they were about to miss the interview appointment time, basically trying to ghost you, They also invented a fake excuse as to why they were late, or why they could not make it
The Human Resource rep was also very condescending, they had no real intention to hire, or had someone in mind from the very beginning, they wanted to go through the motions before they ended the call.
All in all, the position was part time, but would not allow you work another job, and be flexible at the same time in order to make ends meet in personal life, therefore, there was no leniency for having a second job due to their policies of attending all shifts - due to the lateness, ghosting attempt, and the condescending behavior of the rep, I would have not accepted this position
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Marianhill (Pembroke, ON) in Apr 2020
Interview
I had a phone interview with the food service manager. Interviewed in April 2020. The interview average. The questions didn't seem to be too difficult and it was a good experience.
