It was on Zoom. The conversation flow felt pleasant and not too formal. Questions were straightforward regarding past research experience, any experience with marine organisms would be an added bonus.

Very simple and straightforward! I applied to the job, got an email for a virtual interview and the PI asked me some basic questions - why do I want to work there? Why would I be a good fit? Etc.
