I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marshalls (Bedford, NH) in Sept 2010
Interview
I applied for the job in store and asked to schedule an interview, but they told me the manager wasn't there. I called a few days later but still didn't get the manager. I stopped by after school to speak to someone about an interview; apparently the manager had called my house and spoken to my parents that day hoping to schedule an interview with me. I ended up getting an interview right then since I stopped by.
She really didn't ask me many questions since this would be my first job. She made sure I was a hard worker and okay with a fast paced environment. She told me it was a good first job and I didn't have to try very hard to get it.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Marshalls
Interview
Pretty short and straight to the point. Ask you basic scenarios, past work experiences, all that good stuff. They also ask technical questions like are you a us citizen and what not. But overall super easy.
The interview process was quite easy and the interviewers were nice. There was a 10 minute phone screening and then a 20 minute interview with the manager at the store location.
Applied in person then got a call back for an interview. Interview was short and easy, great part time work for students or someone looking for extra money. Only downside is shifts aren’t consistent.
