I applied online. I interviewed at Martian Logic (North Sydney) in Jul 2025
Interview
I saw the job advertised on Linkedin and it really appealed to me so i made the extra effort, researched the company and the CEO I would be supporting and reached out to him privately. within a few days i had a phone interview that was scheduled for an hour but we ended up hitting it off and talking for 2 hours. we learned a lot from eachother.
I was invited in to meet Anwar face to face as well as some of the team - all went well.
I went away with a view to catch up the following day with a list of KPIs -this was discussed and an offer was made.
Describe the interview process*
This was the interview process:
1. Quick phone screening with the CEO, asking high level questions and to hear my comm skills.
2. Zoom call with the CEO and other heads of departments asking me more indepth questions.
3. Face-to-face meet up with the CEO over lunch in North Sydney
4. Paid assignment to see how I worked given a brief, deadline, revisions and overall feedback.
5.Final brainstorm session with the marketing team in the office after hours.
My experience overall was great. The process really gave me a feel of the environment I would be working in and what would be expected of me.

Question 1
Typical interview questions, my experience, what im looking for in a role, what would keep me around as a long standing member etc.
I decided to look past the negative Glassdoor reviews and form my own opinion on these guys, so I applied for an Implementation Consultant role. Within 10 mins of submitting my CV, I got a phone call asking to book in a Teams interview. The urgency was there throughout the whole process which I appreciated & the interviews were easy enough, although there were lots of weird silences because they didn’t seem to have questions prepared and I felt I had to carry the conversation. The CEO seemed great during our first Teams meeting, however when I met him face to face, he got really defensive when I asked for more detail on his expectations of the role and the type of person he’s looking for which was definitely odd and it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Mind you, I applied for an Implementation Consultant role but he wanted me in an Account Management role so I just wanted to get an idea of what he was looking for but he almost threw a tantrum and was about to ask me to leave. I somehow saved it but it was so strange. He apologised for this in our next meeting which was good but a situation like that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
We left the final chat on a really positive note and he said to call him the week after for an update, so I called but he wasn’t working. They didn’t get back to me until for another 2 weeks with a rejection EMAIL? Thought they’d at least give me a call with the news & feedback, especially after 3 stages - just due diligence and shows respect for the candidate’s time.
I’d say the positives are they move quickly, their new Exec Assistant is lovely and the office is spacious (the role is 5 days in the office so at least it’s decent)
