when i finally got called into the room i was greeted by the hiring manager, who by the way, was just the sweetest lady ever. Any how we sat in her office she began telling me a brief background of the company and about the healing powers in massage therapy and what not. Then she had me read a script with her, which went horribly, i felt so stupid after having to read that, the script she gave me did not have any cues to what lines i would be saying, so needless to say that was a nightmare. After that we discussed things like core values, work history, and so on, which went really great. I felt like i really had something going there until she asked if i was a smoker, which i am. so i replied yes. She then made one of those sad disappointing "oh noo" faces, like the reaction you would have to if you found out your favorite candy bar got discontinued. She followed my response by asking me "well, shucks....ummm,,,,do you plan on quitting soon? and she started on about, any employee who smells even a little like smoke is qualified for immediate termination, and then said, and you would need to keep your uniform here if you smoke in your house and so on.Needless to say i did not get a call back, which i am very very sure is because i'm a smoker. anywhos i would have never been able to survive on the $8.00 an hour for only 6-12 hours a week when initially i was told the postion was going to be full time.
