I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Max Insurance (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2023
Interview
Interviewed with claims VP, second interview of approx 3 hours with CEO and Claims leader. Afterwards told by Claims leader job was essentially mine and all I had to do was meet with the CFO who is in Bermuda virtually. This was on Friday and I was to meet with him on Monday. I signed in at the appropriate time on Monday. No one showed up. Multiple calls to Claims Leader and person I had the interview set with went unanswered as did text messages. Got a cryptic response from Claims Leader two days later saying they are looking into situation. Followed up a few days later and finally got an email from Claims Leader they had hired someone else and agreed this looked bad on them but stating they would continue to keep their eyes open and advocate for me in future. No response ever from CFO in Bermuda. No response from CEO. Unprofessional handling. Draw your own conclusions.

Question 1
about how I might impact their organization in a positive way.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Max Insurance in Nov 2024
Interview
I was contacted on LinkedIn about a Communications & Marketing Specialist role and had a positive phone conversation with the People & Talent Managing Director, followed by a writing assignment. A few days later, I interviewed with the CEO on short notice and had a good experience despite it being scheduled very last minute.
After my two interviews, I sent a follow-up email within the week to thank both individuals for their time but did not receive a response. A week later, I sent another follow-up email, but unfortunately, I still have not received a response.
While I understand that people are busy, a lack of response after a candidate takes the time to engage in the interview process is disheartening. Today's job market is already challenging, and experiences like this make it even more so.
