I applied on April 19, 2018. I received a call from a supervisor for a phone interview and I completed it on April 26. The same day, I received an email requesting an in person interview. 6 days later, I had the in person interview. It consisted of me, my future supervisor, and a future coworker that worked there for over 25 years. It was not located on the main campus. Rather in Jacksonville Beach at a small office they had recently moved to. The phone interview questions were simple. For example, what is your greatest strength, weakness, why did I choose mayo clinic, why am I leaving my current position, and give an example about a time I provided excellent customer service/Went over and beyond for a patient. The face-to-face interview consisted of questions about describing what type of supervisor do I like, again what my greatest strength and weakness was, what are factors that are considered providing great customer service, and how I would handle gossip situations within the office. The next day, I received a call from HR letting me know I had got the position. Process was simple and very positive. I was nervous for nothing! I was overjoyed, as I only had minimum experience and I have been trying to work at Mayo clinic for years. They made it clear that your personality plays a huge part in this role, so be positive. I cannot wait to be a part of the Mayo clinic team!
