Interview
I wasn’t able to go through or experience the interview process due to no effective communication. I was contacted for an initial phone screen for an Health Informatics position from an automated ADP email address from this company, which I thought was odd because I'm not aware of employees or departments usually contacting candidates through the ADP system or having the ADP system as a way of contact as this was the first, for any employer. I thought it was just a payroll or job application processing system so this was the first. I was also taken back as the human resources professional didn’t provide their work email address, to contact if any issues in the interview process happens to occur. I guess the whole people operations department shares one email address. I was sent an calendy link to set up an initial phone screen and when I clicked on the calendy link the calendy said no times available. I was sent an inefficient link with no available times. I thought maybe at first, giving the benefit of the doubt it was a technical difficulty but as refreshing the link and clicking on the link numerous times and trying another date, the calendy link still had no available dates, which I didn’t understand as the email wanted an initial phone screen that specific week. I contacted the email that contacted me twice to discuss the issues and received no response. I even contacted the Human resources professional on linkedin to discuss the issues and still no response. I came to the conclusion that the email address from the entire People Operations department might have been just an automated email, as to why I couldn’t see the available times on the calendy link or receive a response from the ADP email address. I believe having a streamlined, efficient and effective interview process is important and it;s disappointing being contacted by a company that doesn’t have that, getting hopes for a potential job up.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at McLeod Centers for Wellbeing (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
The HR director is very friendly and warm with a good sense of humor. The interview process was quick any easy. I arrived nearly 30 minutes early to my interview and was seen early. Upon completing the interview process, they encouraged me to stay and observe the front desk operations for an hour or so which was an imperative component to give me an idea of just how fast-paced and demanding the front office can be and was valuable in my continued learning upon accepting the position. The process from application to interview was lengthy. Initial drug screen was offered on the spot in the facility, which was convenient.
