      Easy interview

      Application

      I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr

      Interview

Started with a 30 min phone call with a recruiter who introduced me to the company and the position. I was then asked a couple simple questions about my resume and prior experience. I was then advanced to the final interview round. This is a 4.5 hour interview. The first hour is spent with someone who shows you the company's website and compares it to their competitor's website. Make sure to have taken a look at their website beforehand to notice what makes McMaster-Carr's website unique. I then was interviewed by 3 different individuals who each worked in different areas of the company. These interviews lasted about 45 minutes each. They want you go into detail with your answers. I would say that there were 20 minutes in each interview that were left for me to ask questions. Make sure to come prepared with questions so you don't have to end your interview early. I received an offer a couple weeks later.

      Interview

Make sure to ask lots of questions. It is very easy to be "duped" into thinking that you are doing well, but you have absolutely no idea. Seems like an amazing gig, and they definitely want to hear you stress and talk about the work-life balance.

      Question 1

If the university you chose was your "first choice" as well as what other offers you had.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Cleveland, OH)

      Interview

They flew me out for it and put me up in a hotel and everything. Then the interview was a full day - someone was assigned to greet me, give a tour, eat lunch, and three different interviews getting more and more senior throughout the day. Lots of questions for examples of times when I … and pulled straight from the prep they send.

      Question 1

We noticed a trend that we are sending a lot of calls to different departments - how would you suggest fixing this?
