I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Medidata Solutions (New York, NY) in Mar 2018
Interview
Put me through 8 separate calls and meetings combined. Positions were supposed to be remote but traveled 2 hours out of my way to meet with team in NYC anyway. Completely aced all phone screens, according to people who conducted them - got every question right during interview process. Invested easily 12 hours into interviewing here.
Then I get a call a few days later saying "you were great technically but they didn't like your communication style, felt like they were pulling information out of you." Sure, well that is the idea of an interview, no?
Recruiters spam you to multiple teams trying randomly to find a match and expect you to interview with each team separately. Process is insane and a huge waste of candidates' time - feeling really annoyed.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Medidata Solutions in Jan 2022
Interview
Easy Interview process in my opinion. First there was an algorithm test using an array then asked to write pseudo code explaining object oriented design within Restful Controller and discuss result being send back to client if an validation had failed on POST. Last test was SQL query which required knowledge of GROUP BY and LEFT JOIN.
The interviewer didn’t really agree with my approach, but Cat can be skinned many different ways. I explained my approach was cleaner, more readable and flexible but he did not sound convinced at the end I didn’t think it would be a deal breaker but apparently it was.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Medidata Solutions (London, England) in May 2018
Interview
Started with an informal phone interview talking about my previous experience , followed by a take-home technical test, which I submitted and was invited to a face-to-face interview very shortly after.
Face-to-face interview was cancelled the day before it was scheduled with no reason given. Very unprofessional.
