I applied for the position when the position first posted to msk career website. I received a call about a month later with an HR recruiter representative. We did a brief phone interview and I was told that my resume would be forwarded to the hiring manager. I heard back from the HR rep the same day via email, she set up and interview for that week for me. I went into the interview, the manager was very easy to speak with, which made the interview feel very comfortable. After the interview, about 45 mins later, I sent the HR rep an email thanking her for setting up the interview between the manager and myself. I received an email not even 5 mins later from the same HR rep saying that the manager felt the interview went well and they would like to check my references and perform a background check. The references are checked via a third party website and your reference (5 of them - 2 former managers 3 - peers, subordinates, and or coworkers) have to fill out a survey on you via this website. That was a little tasking because you have to run behind your reference and constantly remind them to do it. It's probably best to have more than 5 references just in case some flake on you. You are able to go to the website to double check to see who completed their surveys or not. As soon as my references were completed, I sent another email to the HR rep, informing her that the surveys were completed and if she needed anything to contact me. The next day she told me via email that my salary recommendation was sent to compensation for review. 2 days later I was sent my offer, and was very happy with the salary amount. After you sign your offer letter (which btw you should keep) an onboarding committee rep will contact you to complete all other necessary documents and health screening.
