The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Menards (Sandusky, OH) in Jun 2010
Interview
Once I arrived at the store, I had to fill out three different forms of paperwork. One was the application, another was just a simple questionnaire, and the third was to authorize a drug test. When I finished the paperwork, I sat down with the HR rep and the first question they asked was if I was willing to relocate. This position is all about relocation because that is the only way you can advance quickly. She than asked me questions such as my strengths and weaknesses, how would I deal with an angry customer, what customer service means to me, and should a manager be more fair or consistent. The interview wasn't really that bad or nerve wrecking at all. The HR rep I interviewed with was really nice and easy to talk to. This made the process all the better. The HR rep than took me to her desk and talked about the management training program and how it was structured. She also talked about the type of pay and salary I could expect to make throughout the program and my first year. That was pretty much it and she than asked if I could take my drug test that day which I ended up doing.
I applied online. I interviewed at Menards (Coon Rapids, MN)
Interview
Interview Process was very easy. Had a sit down with HR then met with General manager. Was offered position within week of the interview. Was asked very basic questions. Was overall a positive interview process.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Menards (O'Fallon, IL) in Feb 2024
Interview
It was fairly easy. You apply online, then have a brief phone call followed up by an in person interview. The in person interview was fairly in depth. You must start as a lowly manager trainee before moving up within the company.
