I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Merit America (Orlando, FL) in Jan 2023
Interview
First step is an asynchronous video interview where you have 20-30 seconds to think about the question on the screen. You also have only 1-2 minutes to answer these questions. A "thinking timer" will appear on the screen as a countdown and then your recording will begin. It contained 6 questions and answers can only be recorded once. The interview questions are not difficult but expressing suitable answers while being aware of a timer, feeling pressured to be perfect (cannot be paused or re-recorded) and not having space for true elaboration of thought puts extreme stress on even the most knowledgeable and suitable candidates. I would say that is what makes the interview difficult - not the actual questions.

Question 1
Why work for Merit America and in this role? What skills / experience do you have that correlate to this role? Talk about a time when you experience a sudden change of priorities and how you managed. Are you comfortable with our benefits & compensation package? Is there anything else you would like for us to know about you?
Multi-stage interview process; starts with application, then a 15-minute asynchronous interview, then a simulation + panel interview, finished by a conversation with a Co-CEO if you advance to the final stage of the interview process

Interview
After submitting my application, I was invited to complete a recorded video interview, with ten questions. These were general questions about related experience and interest in working for Merit America. Following the recorded interview, I participated in a virtual interview with a Sr. Program Success Manager/Career Coach and the team Director. They asked additional questions, and there was a mini-simulation activity.
