      Senior Unity/AR/VR Developer Interview

      22 Nov 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Vancouver, BC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Metanaut (Vancouver, BC) in Nov 2022

      Interview

The interview was quite relaxed and casual. I interviewed with the CEO Peter and had quite a genuine and enjoyable conversation about the VR industry, its history, our respective experiences within it and insight into its trajectory. Peter also oversaw the technical interview of 4 questions. I personally felt I did somewhat poorly relative to my competencies but feel like the genuineness of our conversation and my ability to display an understanding of the fundamentals at least translated.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The technical component consisted of 4 questions. 3 of which involved being provided with a series of GIF animations of basic primitives that had distinct behaviors that had to be replicated in the Unity Editor.
