I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mews (Prague) in Mar 2025
Interview
Overall good experience. Call with the recruiter, then agreed on 2x45 minutes rounds with the team - behavioral (questions on challenges etc. Dive into the details!) + tech round (nothing difficult really, discussion) + task to complete in a few days. All the team members I talked to were nice and friendly, especially the recruiter.

Question 1
Questions about past experiences - challenges, mistakes, feedbacks
Went through the first interview stage. After rejection, one of the reasons given was that my communication style didn’t match the team. I politely asked for concrete examples or observations, but never got any response. For a company that highlights values like openness, transparency and people-first approach, ignoring a calm request for developmental feedback feels contradictory. It leaves candidates with a bad impression and reduces trust in the hiring process.
Overall, my impression of the interview experience was positive. The HR representatives and developers were friendly, professional, and made an effort to keep the conversations relaxed while still asking relevant questions.
The organizational aspect, however, could be improved. There were very long periods of silence between interview stages and limited clarity around role expectations and team alignment in the early stages. Overall, the interview stages felt disconnected from one another.
I applied online. I interviewed at Mews (Madrid) in Jan 2026
Interview
I applied online and went through four stages: an HR call, a technical interview, a take-home test, and a discussion of the take-home test. It was a very long process.
After the technical interview, there was complete silence. The interviewers themselves were nice, but the process showed how poorly structured the company is and how little they care about candidates. At the very least, they could provide feedback.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t feel surprising when the CEO publicly says they want people to work crazy hours.

Question 1
The review covered several key areas, including past experience and accomplishments that the candidate was proud of. Cultural fit and alignment with team values were also explored through targeted questions. On the technical side, the discussion included algorithms, good practices, and clean code principles, ensuring both problem-solving skills and code quality were evaluated.
