      Regional Sales Manager Interview

      23 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meyer Laboratory in Apr 2025

      Interview

Two phone screens, took a personality assessment and then had an in-person interview with two members of Sales leadership. Was told they move quickly and I would hear back likely by EOD next day. It's been almost two weeks now and despite reaching out through multiple channels have not heard anything. Position is no longer listed on their website so assuming it has been filled but it would have been nice to at least receive some form of contact indicating a decision had been made. It looks like this seems to be a fairly common occurrence both before and after the purchase by PE.

      I interviewed at Meyer Laboratory

      Interview

This is a follow up to the review from October 13, where I was very general, and received a response from Meyer Labs saying that the owner wanted me to call so he could "apologize". I saw the response in glassdoor, and called on October 31st and gave my information, including contact info again. I heard nothing until Friday, November3rd, when an Assistant called me and said that the owner wanted to speak with me, but was in meetings, busy, etc.....could he call next week. I said that was no problem. After an entire week with no response, I called again the week of November 13th. I was told to call back 4 different times that he would be available, and each time he was not. I left a message on his voice mail on November 21st or so, and heard nothing. I even waited a few more days (today is 11/25) before responding here again. I still have not heard from anyone except a very friendly assistant, regarding the feedback they claim to have wanted. At this point, especially after reading the review that was given shortly after mine, I would caution anyone against joining this company. My interview was not taken seriously, I was told one thing and another thing happened, much as the other candidate expressed, and not once did the person I was "riding with" want to talk about the role I was interviewing for. The ad and both phone interviews stressed leadership abilities and such experience, yet when I would ask questions about the region or leadership position I was put off, and told about the training process which involved acting as a sales rep for a 6 month period. The interviewer was not interested in anything other than immediate need to fill a missing sales rep position. There were many other red flags. This was a negative experience, and the thing it, the company had the ability to make this a positive one, but chose to ignore it, after asking for feedback. No one is so busy that they can't find 15 minutes for a phone conversation over a 25 day timespan. Unless it doesn't matter.
