      Management Interview

      8 Oct 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Detroit, MI
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Michigan Humane (Detroit, MI) in Oct 2022

      Interview

I applied on their website and it took 2 weeks to hear from a recruiter. I left 2 messages with the call center about my application but nobody got back to me. Once I finally had my phone screen scheduled, the recruiter didn’t call me on time and when she did call me the next day I mentioned this to her and she got short with me saying I was wrong. She was very rude through the whole conversation and I could hear her scoffing at my responses. She didn’t seem to understand the job she was hiring for and I felt like she was just reading off a paper and barely listening. After this I was never contacted even after I reached out to the recruiter for an update. To be clear, I have many years of management experience in the industry and have dealt with my fair share of employees with poor attitudes. However it is a red flag that the person who is the first point of contact for any potential employee acts this way. This speaks to a serious problem with accountability within the company.
