To get a call from the HR team we need to have a internal referral. Somehow I got an referral and the interview was scheduled.
Initial 3 rounds were smooth with technical questions and also got a introduction abt Micron.
Then hr took all the relevant docs and I was told that they will release offer once he gets confirmation from the recruitment manager.
After 4 days I got a call from another hr team member that I will have to attend a call with US team whom I will be working. Also I was told that this round has no relevance to my offer.
I attended the Skype discussion with the US team and found that it was a fitment round for their team. Strange thing is that the round was more abt their team and none of the team members didn't know what was my experience and also didn't know that I didn't have experience in that process.
Rather than asking for technical expertise they were more persistent on the process knowledge which I don't have. I was told that my resume will be sent to other teams.
Later I approached hr to know the next steps I didn't get any update. Upon persistent calls I was told by hr that recruitment manager is not going to process my profile further. When asked for the reason I was told that they need more experience.
Recruitment manager was there during my first 2 rounds of interview and if he thought that they need a consultant with one particular process knowledge then he shld have not scheduled the interview.
This was a frustrating experience and will be awed if they follow this procedure to fill all the positions (huge) and will not be frustrated.
