It started okay.
On the technical side, i ve received a tech home assignment, completed it and passed.
At the final interview, there were questions about the assignment and experience which were okay.
Afterwards there was a leetcode problem that was completed in the desired time, but with a little but of help in getting information.
A system design question as well which went almost okay.
The feedback was too vague.

Simple rest api and system design questions plus a leetcode problem.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Midnite in Jun 2025
Interview
Horribly inconsiderate. After mentioning I was away on holiday the week after the first stage interview, they proceeded to send me a technical test requesting it be done within a week.
After I took time out of my own holiday to do it to their requirements - which was poorly described - I was rejected as I forgot to add something they never mentioned.
Overall a waste of time and a complete lack of empathy towards people’s personal time. Feels like a dodged bullet, especially considering what other people have been saying about similar issues.
On top of all of this - even if I made it through to the next interview stage - I was told it would be a 2 hour (-ish) long interview where I'd have to flip-flop between defending my technical test (difficult as their requirements were god-awful) - and answering other technical questions with no room for break.
How Midnite believes this is a good interview strategy at all is beyond me.

Requested to complete a backend endpoint (language not specified), that returns alert codes to a specific set of rules.
