- 1hr round of golang interview: it was quite simple (asked about slice, routines etc)
-1hr of system design (designing a payment processor)
-1hr of another design round (designing a url shortner)
-1hr of cultural fit round.
Most of the time, the time in these rounds were extended.
They asked for salary proposal without them giving any upper limit.
Finally , I got an outright rejection email without even a room for rejection.
In the end , all the time invested for the process just went in vain for no reason.
Key takeaway:
- interview is very simple. I don't think they invest time to prepare for the interview, rather they just give some easily available questions from the internet.
- they expect very cheap salary. This is just my assumption, as I wasn't even given an opportunity to negotiate. Probably <15-20$ per hour for a senior engineer.
