I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Mindmaven in Jun 2024
Interview
I went through the whole process. The company makes you do several interviews and if you pass, you have to do an assignment. The assignment is a little tedious, but generally, I think it is a good idea. It gives candidates a way to prove their abilities. This is especially helpful for more introverted people who might not be as good at selling themselves or interviews.
However, after I passed the assignment with flying colors I only had one more step to go, which was to interview with the Head Recruiter Chalyse Elsasser. She did not have any availability until 1 month later. By this time I had accepted another position.
I am sad about it, because it seemed like a great opportunity and I am upset it only failed because of lacking availability. I wish they had other people who could conduct interviews. If the head recruiter is that busy, they should hire more people to conduct interviews.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you say is the trait your coworkers like least about you?
Interviewing with Mindmaven is a thorough process. You interview with Mindmaven first, they assess your skills before setting up interviews with their clients. 1. Initial phone screen 2. Skills assessment 3. Video interview 3. Begin interview with clients
An unpaid project that took so long. Professionalism and organization needed to be included. They would take you on as an EA if you "passed" their stupid test. Ex: of the project included translating voice memos into an email from someone, playing mind games and calling a fake phone number, etc. Just egregious tasks that were borderline insulting and made you feel childlike. Before finishing the project, a recruiter from their company called me and asked if I wanted to submit my profile for a job. Of course, I said yes, but then they realized I hadn't finished their extreme "project" and had to backtrack. They quickly hung up the phone on me and barely apologized. That recruiter had thought my resume would be great for their client. I have been an executive assistant supporting CEOs, UHNW individuals, etc., for over five years, and this process was laughable.

Question 1
An unpaid project where they played "tricks" on you. They then will tell you made-up reasons why you didn't pass.
