Pretty basic sit down interview with the franchise owner/manager about previous work experience. He will be honest about his expectations and what the job will require. You will most likely be hired on a trial basis (with an hourly rate) for a set period of time (2-weeks to a month) to see if you can pick up the craft well (will be judged by work ethic, initiative, problem-solving skills, eye for detail, positive attitude, manual dexterity with handling paint gun to apply surfaces, and service mentality/professional demeanor. During this time you will be trained by senior technicians and begin to perform basic aspects of the work yourself. If you perform well during the trial period and when you become proficient enough, you will move to a commissioned position.
