      QA Engineer Interview

      23 Jan 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mixmax (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2021

      Interview

2 rounds before I decided it wasn't for me. Round 1: Phone interview with a Tech lead. Fairly easy going interview, but he told me that they would pay me less than I asked for. I said I was negotiable, but felt that they might not value QA so much. Round 2: I decided to take their technical test anyway, since they'd taken the trouble to interview me. I had to navigate to a part of their app and test it. Looking for bugs and usability issues. Surprise, surprise, their app is really buggy and the usability is terrible. Knowing that they were gonna pay me less than I asked for, and finding bug after bug, I just knew it wasn't going to be a good environment for me to be in.
