I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Modell's Sporting Goods (Philadelphia, PA) in Aug 2014
Interview
The interview was fairly simple, the questions my hiring manager asked were not hard and could be answered by using common sense. It was all in one day but afterwards you still have to go through orientation, the 90-day probation period and you're basically required to know how to use the register in case they need you as a backup one day.

I interviewed at Modell's Sporting Goods (Rockaway, NJ)
Interview
Straightforward, just an interview with the general manager to discuss experience and scheduling / availability. They were able to answer my questions and gave me a response just a few days later.
Light and straight forward process. Not bad for an entry level job. Be aware you will be on your feet at all times. Know how to calculate basic money math and deals

Interview
Interviewer discussed the company's history with me and then asked me questions about sports and the job itself. They also asked me if I had ever shopped at Modell's before.
