      Java Software Engineer Interview

      15 Apr 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Melbourne, FL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Modus Operandi (Melbourne, FL) in Apr 2013

      Interview

I was initially called by a secretary who gave me a phone screening asking some basic to intermediate level questions about java , java web technologies, what data structures to use in java. Very easy stuff if you're familiar with CSS / JS / HTML / J2EE / JAVA and time and space complexity. I was called for an in person interview after that where I spoke with 3 engineers and a director. Everyone was very friendly, I was mostly asked standard technical questions and what I did at my last job, and was informed about what the mission they did there was. I went out to lunch when the director, he paid for everything, everything was good vibes. I then talked to the financial person to talk about pay, benefits, he asked about previously salary and asked to justify my increase. We spoke as though we assumed I was going to work here, to save time later in the event that an offer came. Really good people, good environment
