It consisted of a standard in-person interview of and review of application/resume. Then there was the physical test of carrying a certain weight a certain distance, CPR for two minutes, and dragging a sandbag or something similar. Then there was a practical skills assessment of a mock call, where you basically do the 1A or 1B sheet from the state certification test. Once that is complete, you have to schedule a free physical and drug test at a location they give you. They also have you complete a background check and check your driving record. After all of that, you had to complete online orientation materials before attending a week of in-person orientation, before beginning on-call training.
