Sent application in to HR Director, was called in for a first interview with HR Director, Superintendent and Director of Finance. First interview went well, but red flags began arising when I was called several days later by the HR Director to ask if I could come in for a second interview THAT DAY. I was working a full-time job at the time so I could not do so without jeopardizing my current employment. I explained I could not but set up an interview for the next day. That interview was with the three persons from the first interview, as well as the entire school board. It was a lengthy and challenging interview but I felt it went well. I did not get the job, which is unfortunate but happens sometimes.
What upset me is that no one from the district ever followed up to inform me I did not get the job. I found out rather quickly by checking the school board meeting recaps - but the HR Director, who had no problem asking me to sneak out of my current job to interview with no advance notice or prep time, did not have the decency to send an email or make a two-minute phone call. That glaring lack of courtesy told me I was fortunate to not work there, and looking back at the disastrous tenure of the since-deposed superintendent and finance director (not sure about the HR person), I have certainly been proven correct.
